The Education for Tomorrow Alliance will host its 27th annual SCI://TECH Exposition, a series of science, technology, engineering and math competitions that engages 5,000 K-12 grade students, starting this weekend.

The 2017 SCI://TECH Exposition, themed “Science is electrifying! Get amped up!” starts Friday with the Entergy Private School Science Fair and the Anadarko Senior High Science Bowl at Lone Star College-Montgomery.

Hundreds of volunteer judges are needed for the duration of the exposition, along with business and community volunteers, through Feb. 18. Volunteers are especially needed on Feb. 3 during the largest science fair in Texas held at the Lone Star Convention Center. Volunteers can register online at www.efta-us.org/volunteer.

Thousands of visitors are also expected to participate in the Huntsman Elementary Science Festival during the SCI://TECH Expo Day on Feb. 4, which will engage students in kindergarten through fourth grade with hands-on science experiments.
