Nestled within an office building, Toastello was brought to The Woodlands area by owner Jackie Reyes on July 1 through a partnership with Third Gen Coffee owner Marlon Reyes, who opened his coffee shop in The Woodlands in 2017.

“I partnered with my brother to offer Third Gen Coffee products and open my own coffee shop at a place that feels like home with home-cooked menu items,” Jackie Reyes said.

What's special about it?

Toastello offers Third Gen Coffee products specializing in Honduran coffee as well as breakfast and lunch items made from scratch such as the chorizo, egg and cheese taco as well as sandwiches and pastries.

“Our breakfast tacos sell really quickly since we are located in an office building,” Jackie Reyes said. “But I do want to make sure people know we are open to the public and are not run by the office.”

Sandwiches are made from scratch with focaccia bread, including items such as the cafe’s staple, the Toastella supreme made with Italian mortadella sausage, salami, provolone cheese, roasted peppers and arugula.

With menu items with recipes originating from Reyes’ grandmother and mother, Toastello also offers pastries such as bagels, banana bread and cookies.

To go along with its artisan sandwiches and parties, the eatery offers four signature coffee options as well as coffee classics such as cappuccinos and matcha lattes. Customer favorites so far include the Spanish latte made with condensed milk, cinnamon, a choice of milk and strong espresso coffee, Jackie Reyes said.

“The condensed milk gives the latte a particular taste that a lot of people seem to enjoy,” Jackie Reyes said.

What else?

Reyes said Toastello stays in season by offering seasonal coffee options. Starting this summer, Jackie Reyes said customers can expect to find healthy smoothie options with supplements such as protein and collagen as well as salads.

Looking ahead, she said she would like to hold community events at Toastello, and she is open to collaboration with local businesses, organizations and schools. The eatery also offers catering services.
