Long-time The Woodlands resident Armando Cordova said he and his business partner, Jorge Molina, who is also a local resident, have plans to open a Paris Baguette location in The Woodlands in early December.

The details

Paris Baguette is a French-inspired bakery cafe with South Korean roots, according to the website.

The international franchise is known for its croissants and cakes, Cordova said. The bakery also offers baked goods, sweet pastries and coffee from Italian brand Lavazza as well as sandwiches and salads.

Cordova said Paris Baguette’s chefs start baking at 3 a.m. and offer freshly baked goods everyday. Any pastries not sold at the end of the day are donated to local nonprofits.

About the owner

Cordova is a Mexico City native and resident of The Woodlands with over a decade of experience in the restaurant industry. He moved to the U.S. 13 years ago and decided to open Paris Baguette in The Woodlands after noticing a lack of quality bakeries in the area, he said.

“My wife and I are from Mexico City, and it's pretty common to have a local bakery around your community,” Cordova said. “We got to know Paris Baguette in another state where we were traveling, and we really loved it. Their mission is to bring back bakeries that are the heart of the community, which aligns with my values and how it was in Mexico.”
