Malaysian street food restaurant Phat Eatery opened in The Woodlands in late June following the success of its first location in Katy. The menu is comprised of a variety of traditional Malaysian street foods such as beef rendang, curry laksa, nasi lemak, and egg tofu.
Jessica joined Community Impact in 2022 as a reporter covering countywide government issues for Montgomery County as well as the cities of Oak Ridge North, Shenandoah and The Woodlands Township. In 2025, she became Editor over the Cypress, Cy-Fair and Spring-Klein areas. A graduate of Blinn College, she has previously worked for two local papers covering city and county government. When not reading or writing, Jessica can be found crafting and caring for her cat, Chubbers.
