Since Chip Jackson opened Rolland’s Gastropub in August, it has become a place to go for house-infused cocktails, high-quality food and live music. Located on 440 Rayford Road, general manager John Michael said Rolland’s Gastropub took over Crescent Moon Wine Bar after Jackson liked the facility and saw an opportunity to buy it. Michael said that Jackson, who is also the owner of Tewbeleaux’s Sports Bar & Grill, created a completely new concept with the gastropub. “We’re unique because of our craft cocktails, and you are going to get five-star quality food in a casual setting,” Michael said. “We’re a whole different concept from Tewbeleaux’s—we’re not a sports bar. I think people should come down here and give us a shot. Everything is great.” Michael recommended customers should try these three unique menu items at the gastropub: Baguettes: Steak tenderloin, jalapeno jam, goat cheese and piquillo peppers ($15) Mushrooms: Loaded with Spanish chorizo, garlic, gouda, Sriracha sauce on the side ($11) Caramelized pineapple martini: Made with Rolland’s house-infused caramel pineapple vodka, shaken and stirred. ($10) Happy hour is also offered from 3-7 p.m. daily, at which time customers can order $5 pizzas, $5 infusions and $5 select small plates.
