The Guenoc brand of cabernet sauvignon, The Cheese Course’s house wine, is offered at a price of $3 a glass each evening until closing throughout the summer.

“We call it Siply Summer,” store supervisor Debrisha Wilfred said.

The house cabernet sauvignon from California pairs well with a cheese sold at The Cheese Course called manchego, Wilfred said.

“The sharp and nuttiness of the cheese pairs well with the full body of the cabernet,” she said.

In addition to the cabernet sauvignon, the house wines include a sauvignon blanc, pinot grigio, chardonnay and merlot.

“People come in and ask which ones we have by the glass, and these are the ones,” Wilfred said.

The Cheese Course’s location in The Woodlands Town Center across from the Tinseltown movie theater creates pre- and post-movie customer traffic, she said.

“It’s a come-drink-and-have-fun place,” Wilfred said. “A lot of people come in before and after a movie just to nibble.”
