Two projects aimed at bringing new dining options to The Woodlands area are slated to open this spring.

1. Adriatic Café

Adriatic Café, an Italian restaurant, is building a 6,086-square-foot location at 17825 I-45 N., Shenandoah, marking the restaurant’s fifth location.

The tentative opening date is early March, once the restaurant gets its permit approvals, co-owner Alex Bulliqi said.


The restaurant serves specialty pizzas, pasta dishes, sandwiches, calzones and gluten-free options. The restaurant also has locations in Jersey Village, Tomball, Spring and Katy.

2. Niko Niko’s

Niko Niko’s, a Greek restaurant, is renovating a 10,500-square-foot former Luby’s location to open its third restaurant in The Woodlands, which will be the largest location of the business.

The new location, at 922 Lake Front Circle, The Woodlands, is slated to open in May, owner Dimitri Fetokakis said.

The restaurant also has locations in Montrose, Memorial/Spring Branch and Downtown Houston.

The restaurant will feature a drive-thru, curbside pickup as well as a dining area, Fetokakis said in a phone interview.
