Officials with The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center confirmed Thursday a new outpatient clinic is under development in The Woodlands.

The cancer center’s outpatient clinic in The Woodlands, which is currently located at CHI St. Luke’s The Woodlands Hospital, will expand patient services and relocate to a new site in mid-2019 to the southwest corner of Hwy. 242 and Fellowship Drive, according to a statement from MD Anderson. The new three-story facility will be roughly one mile west of the existing location.

The statement released Thursday also said the new facility will offer a complement of MD Anderson clinical, diagnostic and supportive services. Plans for the new 200,000-square-foot building are still under development, but MD Anderson said its medical, surgical and radiation oncology services will continue at its current location until the new building is complete.
