The Woodlands Development Company announced plans Wednesday to break ground in the coming weeks on Creekside Park Apartments, the first multifamily development in The Woodlands’ newest village of the same name.
Creekside Park Apartments will be a 292-unit, gated residential community on Kuykendahl Road just north of Creekside Forest Drive. Within walking distance of Creekside Park Village Center, the community will be composed of 10, two-story buildings with 100 residences and two, four-story buildings with 192 residences.
Over the next few weeks, project fencing and signage will be installed and construction should begin shortly after, according to the Development Company.
The apartments will feature attached garages and fenced yards and will be offered in one-, two- and three-bedroom units, ranging in price from $1,100 to $2,100 per month. Community amenities will include a clubhouse, resort-style pool, outdoor kitchen, fitness facility, dog park and children’s play area.
The Development Company also plans to plant 180 additional trees within the community and is working to identify existing trees to be protected during construction.
“One of founder George Mitchell’s original goals for The Woodlands was to provide a variety of housing choices within each village with higher density housing located adjacent to or within the village center,” said Robert Heineman, vice president of planning and design for the Development Company. “Creekside Park Apartments is consistent with this goal by expanding the existing housing choices available in the Village of Creekside Park to include a high-quality rental opportunity for residents.”
The project will be completed in phases; the first residents will move in by the second quarter of 2018, according to the Development Company. Pre-leasing will begin approximately three months prior to the first occupancy, and the entire project is slated for completion by fall 2018.
