Renovations at Carlton Woods' Tom Fazio Championship Golf Course were completed Dec. 23.[/caption] Renovations to the Tom Fazio Championship Course at The Club at Carlton Woods, which experienced damage due to historic flooding in May, wrapped up Dec. 23. The $1.2 million renovation project included reducing overall bunker size from 135,000 square feet to 95,000 square feet. The course was filled in with new California white sand, and slope steepness was reduced at entry points to improve accessibility. “The amount of work we are doing today is going to cut future expenses exponentially,” Fazio Superintendent Tim Huber said. “By reducing the overall square footage, we’ve increased the long-term sustainability of the course for our members.” Members of The Club at Carlton Woods have access to the Jack Nicklaus Signature Course and the Tom Fazio Championship Course.
