The active COVID-19 case count in Montgomery County has continued to rise: Some 200-plus cases have been added since a March 12 report, bringing the total active count up to 2,304 for the county, health officials said.

According to the Montgomery County Public Health District, the total case count across the county has increased by 307 since March 4, bringing the total up to 47,478 since the beginning of the pandemic.
The MCPHD also reported two new deaths caused by COVID-19: a woman in her 80s from Conroe and a woman in her 70s from Montgomery.

There have been a total of 24,353 recoveries reported since March 15, 2020. A total of 69 individuals are currently hospitalized due to the coronavirus, including one in intensive care.
