A free mobile coronavirus testing will be available in Shenandoah from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. April 27 for area residents.

Sponsored by the state of Texas, the site will feature free testing for those who register at 19115 Memorial Drive, Shenandoah. According to Meghan Arthur, Homeland Security planner and public information officer, the site will be testing for coronavirus only and will not include antibody testing.

Preregistration is required for testing and can be done either online or by calling 512-883-2400. Those using the site will be screened for the following symptoms.
  • Fever and/or chills
  • Cough
  • Fatigue
  • Body aches/muscle or joint pain
  • Shortness of breath
  • Sore throat
  • Headaches
  • Nausea/vomitting/diarrhea
  • Nasal congestion
  • Loss of taste and/or smell
