Local businesses and eateries are facing uncertainty amid the new coronavirus outbreak, but many establishments across The Woodlands area remain open to customers this week.
While responding to closure orders in Montgomery and Harris counties, many restaurants have begun promoting alternative service options, such as carryout, curbside pickup and delivery ordering for residents still looking to support their favorite local spots. While The Woodlands Township and other local entities have also scaled back their operations due to COVID-19 concerns, officials said residents can help businesses in the area by continuing their patronage.
"I encourage everybody ... one of the strategies for our family is we are ordering out every single night until we can’t do it anymore. We know how important these small businesses are to our community," Bruce Rieser, The Woodlands board of directors member, said during Visit the Woodlands' March 18 board meeting.
