The Woodlands Town Center Trolley will operate along a modified route through next week, the township transportation department said.
The trolley service will be rerouted until April 16 to accommodate The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival being held this weekend.
The trolley will still run from Hughes Landing to its loop around The Woodlands Town Center, but will avoid its regular stops along The Woodlands Waterway. Instead, the trolley will leave Hughes Landing via Lake Woodlands Drive, turn south on Grogan's Mill Drive then proceed east to the Town Center loop on Lake Robbins Drive. The temporary route removes six stops, including five along the Waterway and one in the South Montgomery County Community Center and Library parking lot.
Residents interested in riding the trolley can track it live by using the Ride Systems application on Android or iOS and selecting The Woodlands Township transit agency option. Residents can also follow the transportation department on
Twitter for updates.
The arts festival runs from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. April 13 and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. April 14. The event features a variety of work from more than 200 artists in addition to food, drinks, live music and other activities. A preview of the festival's offerings can be found in
