Owners Mark Zientek and Luis Padilla are bringing a new concept of The Refuge Bar & Bistro to the Village of Creekside Park in October.
Zientek said the new location will be called The Refuge-Grillehouse and will be located between The Woodlands Fire Station and H-E-B in Creekside Park Village Green. The expansion will be twice as big as the original location at 24 Waterway Ave.
“We’re going to expand our concept and add a restaurant concept where we’ll offer steaks, seafood and pasta,” Zientek said. “Our craft cocktail bar has always been very successful on the Waterway. The community has embraced us and there has been a high demand.”
Zientek said the new location in Creekside is perfect for the new restaurant and dinner that will be offered there all week, along with brunch on Sundays. Live entertainment will also be featured on weekends, along with a lounge attached to the restaurant.
“We’ll still have all the great craft cocktails that are known and then have a larger space for an open kitchen concept,” he said. “The cuisine for the grillehouse is perfect for the cocktails. We will also expand our wine list.”
Aside from expanding the Refuge Bar & Bistro to Creekside Village, Zientek said the bistro’s catering service has been highly successful as well and will continue to expand with the new location.
“The catering has exploded in the last couple of years,” Zientek said. “The new larger facility will help bring more to the west end of The Woodlands.”
