Sweet Revenge Bake Shoppe has been giving customers the taste of homemade baked goods in unique and custom made designs since opening nearly three years ago on College Park Drive in The Woodlands.


Customer service manager Lindsay Ledford said the bakery has enjoyed a great deal of success since owner Megan Tiesman opened the shop.


“We’re unique because we have no rules here; it’s anything you want,” Ledford said. “That’s what is so fun about it, and you know that whatever we do is going to be 110 percent.”


Ledford said the bakery offers a variety of services—from baking custom-made cakes to offering individual and sets of cupcakes to offering delivery and catering services for special events.


“A lot of times, people who have ordered here before are OK with saying it can be the artist’s choice and just letting him design the cake,” Ledford said. “People have called for a buttermilk pie, and [our designer] will pull out his grandmother’s old recipe and make the pie. It’s a family here.”


Ledford said the two cake designers who work at the bakery, Chris Bullock and Bonnie Windmiller, each bring a different perspective to what they design.


“We have two awesome designers, and the best thing is that they have two great different streaks,” she said.


Ledford said besides cakes, menu items include bars, cookies and assorted baked goods, such as bread pudding, cake balls and Louisiana lush cake, which features different cake layers and icings. Some of the most popular cupcake flavors include sweet and salty, red velvet, Italian cream and German chocolate, she said.


“In some other shops, they just use the same really sweet icing and they add flavors to it,” Ledford said. “Ours is different and less sweet. We also feature new cupcake flavors every day and I always put it on Facebook to show people what we have.”


Ledford said the bakery is also involved with the community by participating in annual events like Taste of the Town. She hopes the shop will expand one day to offer more residents a chance to try the unique baked goods from Sweet Revenge.


“It’s fingers crossed for another shop,” she said. “Now on the weekends, we are almost always fully booked for custom cakes. If everyone could come get a bite in here, they would then see what we are all about.”
