A solo exhibition by artist Martin Amorous, “The Poetry of Gravity," began Jan. 7 and will run until March 6, hosted by The Woodlands Arts Council.

What to know

An opening reception and opportunity to meet the artist will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Jan. 14 at the exhibition space at 9450 Grogans Mill Road, Ste. 160, in The Woodlands.

The exhibit is of work by artist Martin Amorous, featuring large-scale paintings and small works on paper in media including oil paint, ink, linseed oil, and enamel, according to a news release.

According to the release, Amorous retired from the Department of Art at Sam Houston State University and resides in Willis.
