Walk like MADD

The Mothers Against Drunk Driving fundraiser will be presented by Mercedes-Benz of The Woodlands. The annual event aims to eliminate drunken drivers from the roadways. Haunted Trail at Bear Branch Park

This weekend kicks off the first of five dates to explore the Haunted Trail at Bear Branch, including Oct. 15, 21, 22, 28 and 29. The theme for this year’s Haunted Trail at Bear Branch is “Trail of Treachery: The Cursed Wood.” This event, recommended for those age 9 and older, will include a guide-led tour along the scary trail. 8-10 p.m. $8. Light the Night
Oct. 16

The Texas Gulf Coast chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society will host Light the Night. The event will include food and family-friendly activities, followed by a 2-mile walk from Lake Robbins Drive, along The Woodlands Waterway, around the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion and back to Market Street. Walkers will carry illuminated balloons during the walk—white for survivors, red for supporters and gold in memory of those lost to cancer. 5 p.m. (event begins), 7:15 p.m. (walk begins).
