Local residents can access 13 locations countywide during the day for warmth, including all branches of Fort Bend County Libraries and the Fort Bend Family YMCA, according to a Facebook post from the Fort Bend County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management.
The libraries will provide warming space during normal business hours, while the YMCA will offer the service from 5-9 p.m., per the post.
Meanwhile, nonprofit group Attack Poverty-Friends of North Rosenberg will open at 8 p.m. Feb. 19 for those needing warmth overnight, per the post.

Houston-area temperatures are expected to reach a low of 28 degrees on Feb. 19, with wind chill predicted to be as low as 7 degrees overnight through the morning of Feb. 20, according to the National Weather Service.
Fort Bend County isn’t the only entity making preparations for the cold, with Houston Mayor John Whitmire announcing in a Feb. 18 news conference that the city will open 12 overnight warming centers, Community Impact reported.
