1. Austin Parkway reconstruction Phase 2
Project: The second phase of the reconstruction project aims to improve pavement quality and drainage improvements on Austin Parkway between Sweetwater and Commonwealth boulevards.
Update: At a June 2 meeting, Sugar Land City Council approved a design contract with Bowman Consulting Group for the second phase of the Austin Parkway reconstruction project.

2. Sugar Land Trail Phase 2Project: The 10-foot-wide concrete trail aims to support safer travel along Lexington Boulevard from Oxbow Drive to Hwy. 6 as well as along Austin Parkway between Lexington and Commonwealth boulevards.
Update: At a May 5 meeting, Sugar Land City Council approved a design contract with Consor North America Inc. for the Sugar Land Trail Phase 2.

3. Missouri City street reconstructionProject: In April 2025, Missouri City City Council approved a contract with Aranda Brothers Construction for the reconstruction of seven failing streets located west of McLain Boulevard.
Streets include West Hampton Circle, West Hutchinson Circle, Palmway Street, Oceanview Street, Poolview Street, Parkview Street and Flagler Street.
Update: The project is still under construction.
