Depending on the weather, the Texas Department of Transportation plans to close all four southbound lanes of Hwy. 59 near the Oyster Creek Bridge starting May 31 at 9 p.m. through June 2 at 9 p.m.

This work will allow repairs needed on the Oyster Creek bridge following recent emergency repairs that were temporary, according to the city of Sugar Land. Lanes could open earlier if work is completed ahead of schedule.

Southbound traffic will exit Hwy. 59 at the Hwy. 6 exit and re-enter at the ramp just before the Hwy. 6 intersection.
