Updated April 17: Union Pacific Railroad has rescheduled this previously-scheduled rail crossing closure, according to the city of Sugar Land All lanes of Dairy Ashford will be closed at the railroad tracks starting April 22 through 26. On April 10, Union Pacific Railroad postponed the road closure scheduled for April 11-14.

Sugar Land drivers along Dairy Ashford Road north of Hwy. 90 will need to look out for detour signs beginning April 22.

All four lanes of Dairy Ashford will be closed at the railroad tracks so that Union Pacific Railroad crews can work on the railroad in preparation of the Dairy Ashford Road widening project, according to the city of Sugar Land.

Detour routes will be as follows:
• Northbound Dairy Ashford traffic will detour via Hwy. 90 to Industrial Road to Reed Road to Julie Rivers to Dairy Ashford (pink line below).
• Southbound Dairy Ashford traffic will detour via Corporate Drive to Hwy. 59 to Hwy. 90 to Dairy Ashford (orange line below).

The lane closures are expected to occur through April 26, according to the city.
