Transportation updates  

1. Adams Street rebuild

Work crews will repave Adams Street between Texas Parkway and Fifth Street in Missouri City as part of a total reconstruction.

Timeline: summer 2017-summer 2018 Cost: $2.5 million Funding sources: city of  Missouri City

2. Williams Trace Boulevard reconstruction Phase I

The southbound lanes of Williams Trace Boulevard between Hwy. 6 and Austin Parkway in Sugar Land are closed so they can be rebuilt and the water mains replaced.

Timeline: January-March 2018 Cost: $5.9 million Funding sources: city of Sugar Land

3. Ashmont Drive rebuild

Ashmont Drive from Valley Bend to La Quinta drives in Missouri City is scheduled to be rebuilt.

4. Hwy. 90 road widening

The Texas Department of Transportation is nearing completion of its project to widen Hwy. 90 from two to three lanes in each direction between Hwy. 6 and the Grand Parkway. In addition TxDOT is building sound walls next to the road.

Timeline: March 2016-October 2017 Cost: $9.98 million Funding sources: TxDOT

5. Hurricane Lane extension

Work will finish this summer on the extension of Hurricane Lane from Trammel Fresno to Senior roads in Missouri City. Work crews are adding lane striping, signage and performing final cleanup.

6. Hwy. 6 and Crown Garden Trail intersection

Work is scheduled to finish at the end of June on the new right turn lane added to the intersection of Hwy. 6 and Crown Garden Trail so that northbound traffic can turn right onto Crown Garden. The project is being managed by Imperial Redevelopment District.
