Southbound road construction on University Boulevard at Hwy. 6 in Missouri City to begin Oct. 21

The southbound lanes of University Boulevard at Hwy. 6 in Missouri City will be under construction for road enhancements starting Oct. 21, according to a press release by the city.

The release says that starting at 9 a.m., crews will be working on the outer southbound lane first, followed by the inner lane. While roadwork is in progress, traffic may be reduced to one lane, the release warns.

Missouri City asks motorists to find alternative routes or exercise caution when traveling through the busy intersection.

Weather permitting, the city expects the construction to be completed by Oct. 25.
