Fewer homes were sold in Sugar Land- and Missouri City-area ZIP codes in July compared to last July, with 244 homes sold versus 296 last year. Additionally, fewer homes were sold than last month in June, when 258 homes were sold across five local ZIP codes.
Four of five local ZIP codes saw fewer home sales year over year, with ZIP code 77479 seeing a 23.46% decrease in that time period.The median home sales price rose slightly in three of five local ZIP codes year over year. The largest spike was in ZIP code 77489, which saw a more than 8% increase, or a home sales price jump of $20,500.Homes in the $250,000-$449,999 price range continue to sell the most frequently, with homes in the $450,000-$649,999 range following behind.
Additionally, the average number of days homes spent on the market increased in four of five local ZIP codes, signaling slower home sales in those ZIP codes. The highest average number of days on the market for the month was in ZIP code 77459 with 55 days.
