Fewer homes were sold in Sugar Land- and Missouri City-area ZIP codes in June compared to last June, with 258 homes sold versus 322 last year. Additionally, fewer homes were sold than last month in May, when 304 homes were sold across five local ZIP codes.
Three of five local ZIP codes saw fewer home sales year over year, with ZIP code 77479 seeing more than a 34.55% decrease in that time period. Meanwhile, the other two ZIP codes—77489 and 77498—were pretty consistent year over year, with 77489 staying flat and 77498 seeing one additional home sale.The median home sales price rose in three of five local ZIP codes year over year. The largest spike was in ZIP code 77478, which saw a more than 19% increase. Overall, homes in the $250,000-$449,999 price range sold the most frequently in June.Additionally, the average number of days homes spent on the market increased in three of five local ZIP codes, signaling slower home sales in those ZIP codes. The highest average number of days on the market for the month was in ZIP code 77459 with 58 days.
