Sugar Land Turkey Trot
The 31st annual event is the original Turkey Trot race in the Greater Houston area and includes a costume contest. Attendees can also donate canned goods, warm clothing and running shoes for East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry. 7:30 a.m. (Sean Scroggins Memorial Kids Mile, participants ages 12 and younger only), 8 a.m. (race bib, tag timed 5-mile), 8:30 a.m. (2.8-mile walk and jog). $25 (kids mile), $35 (2.8-mile), $40 (5-mile). Pearland Turkey Trot
The inaugural event includes a 4-mile run, 6-mile run/walk or 1-mile family run. Children younger than 12 years old can run the Tot Trot Kids K, as well. Finishers of the 4- and 6-mile races receive a Pearland Turkey Trot finisher’s medal, and all participants receive a long-sleeve shirt, post-race food and beverages, and a “Thanksgiving” post-race party.
