Prospective homeowners have shown more interest in amenities, particularly for master-planned developments like Riverstone, Sienna Plantation, Telfair and Imperial at Sugar Land, said Liz Guevara Backman, broker associate at Keller Williams Southwest. “The good thing is [homeowners] also understand that it comes at a cost,” Guevara Backman said. Master-planned communities typically span 500-plus acres and have higher price points because they are deed-restricted neighborhoods with featured facilities, Riverstone General Manager Trey Reichert said. Riverstone boasts an 8,000-square-foot clubhouse with a fitness center, meeting space, a catering kitchen and a park with a zipline and pavilion. “You’re not just buying the homes,” Reichert said. “You’re buying the lifestyle in that community.”
