Vida Family Medicine will open its new Sugar Land office in mid-August.

Founding physician Dr. Rebecca Berens said the move will expand the practice's primary care services and also increase access to health care in the area.

Berens and staff will host an open house at the new office on Sept. 7, Berens said. The event will be an opportunity for new patients and residents to meet the team, tour the facility and learn more about the facility's services, according to an Eventbrite posting.

These services include:
  • Preventative care
  • Chronic disease management
  • Telemedicine
  • Primary care for individuals recovering from disordered eating
  • Comprehensive medical examinations

According to a post from the business, Berens takes an interest in those recovering from disordered eating, patients with polycystic ovary syndrome, individuals seeking health-focused care free from weight bias and anyone with unexplained symptoms who feel unheard by the larger health care system.
