Fort Bend ISD is partnering with Fort Bend County Health & Human Services to provide free flu shot vaccinations for students in grades K-12 at a drive-thru clinic Dec. 12, according to a press release from the district.

With the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the district is encouraging families to get a flu vaccine as both COVID-19 and the flu are likely to spread this fall and winter, according to the release. Furthermore, due to a limited vaccine supply, the district is urging families with health insurance to receive a flu shot from their health care provider.

The drive-thru, appointment-based clinic will be held Dec. 12 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at George Bush High School, located at 6707 FM 1464, Richmond.

Appointments can be made through the FBCHHS department. Vaccines are only available for students.

If all times are taken, uninsured families can schedule an appointment with the Fort Bend County Immunization Clinic.
