Sugar Land

Parkway United Methodist Church offers Spanish, music, physical education, computer lab classes and chapel sessions. An extended day program is available and features yoga, taekwondo, gymnastics and dance instruction.

The facility has a Children’s Day Out program for a minimum of two days per week, as well as preschool options. Activities include music, mini gym, chapel sessions, art, science and language recognition. Spanish instruction for preschoolers will begin in the fall.

The Goddard School offers two- and three-day preschool options for children as well as four drop-ins per month, or one drop-in per week. As part of the program, children have music and movement time, yoga, arts and hands-on activities, outdoor play, jump time and Spanish. Snacks and lunch are also provided, and extended care is available.

Owned by Iris Granados, the home-based day care in the Lake Olympia subdivision follows Fort Bend ISD’s guidelines for kindergarten preparation. Children work on phonics and alphabet learning activities and can use an outdoor playground. A snack and lunch are provided, as well as age-appropriate STEM activities. Summer camps are available in June and July.

The one-, two- or three-day program takes children to chapel once each week and offers weekly Spanish instruction for children age 3 and older. All children in the program have music time, while visitors from law enforcement, fire and rescue, and medical fields, among others, will meet with children on occasion.
