With a 7-0 unanimous vote, Missouri City City Council approved nearly $69,000 in signage for both Gammill and Quail Green West parks during its Oct. 17 meeting.

City Council approved a contract with Rosenberg-based construction company Bass Construction to perform the work, which includes updating all signage throughout the parks, according to city agenda documents.

The signage updates are provided through a Missouri City Parks and Recreation Department signage program, using signage design standards first given a positive consensus from City Council in October 2017.

Bass Construction has performed the last 14 sign updates for Missouri City, city officials said, and the new sign contract with the contractor came through the BuyBoard, a purchasing cooperative that offers schools, municipalities, counties and other public entities nationwide access to millions of competitively procured products and services, according to its website.
