Chess Fest

The Houston Museum of Natural Science at Sugar Land hosts this Earth Day event to explore eco-friendly initiatives and sustainable practices. The event features interactive education and play to discover the importance of biodiversity.

Power Moves Tour


Sarah Jakes Roberts is a speaker and author who spreads messages about faith, resilience and personal transformation. The daughter of West Virginian preacher T.D. Jakes will stop at the Smart Financial Centre at Sugar Land for The Power Moves Tour.Cars and Coffee

Visit Summer Moon coffeehouse in early May to meet up and talk shop with BMW owners and sip coffee that was fired over Texas oak. This event is hosted by the BMW Car Club of America’s Houston chapter.

Arts Fest

This two-day festival showcases over 100 visual artist from around the state, the country and the world, according to its website. It features contemporary art, painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, glass, art, woodworking and jewelry. There will also be food, wine and music.

200th anniversary rodeo

The George Ranch historical park brings in its 200th anniversary this year and will celebrate with a two-day rodeo event with food trucks, games and activities. Proceeds from the event will fund youth education and support local teachers and schools.
