Why are you running for office?
I am running to bring experienced, inclusive leadership to HD 76. I am committed to sound governance, civic development and representing community interests. HD 76 deserves strong representation that protects taxpayers, supports small businesses and defends community values while ensuring state government works efficiently and responsibly for local residents.
What are your qualifications for why you’d be a strong candidate in this role?
I bring decades of experience in education, civic leadership, politics and nonprofit service. I have held numerous elected and appointed roles, including [Fort] Bend Republican Party Chairman, State Board of Education CD22, HAR Board of Directors, and service on multiple community and charitable boards delivering results through accountability and collaboration.
If elected, what will be your top priorities?
My priorities include addressing high taxes, flooding, public safety, environmental concerns, health care and protecting quality of life. I will actively listen to residents and businesses, advocate for district needs at the Capitol and work with community and state leaders to deliver meaningful results.
What are the biggest challenges facing this district and how do you plan to address these issues?
HD 76 has been underrepresented, limiting state attention and investment. I will leverage my political experience and strong relations with county and state leaders to attract funding, support business growth and elevate the district’s visibility and influence across Texas. I will advocate aggressively for our district needs.
What projects are most important for the legislature to focus on for the future of Texas?
Reducing property taxes, public safety, environmental issues, education and career training, Texas Cyber Command/AI, unaffordable insurance and accessibility, rising health costs, protecting our food industry and water supply, securing the Electric Grid, affordable housing, mobility and exponential growth.
What do you see as the greatest challenge for Texas in the next five years?
Texas must manage rapid growth without sacrificing fiscal discipline, property rights or public safety. Protect the Texas economy and our way of life. Aging infrastructure, highways, flooding and water scarcity. Balance the expansion of Artificial Intelligence, and closely watch corporate, medical and industry overreach at the cost of the individual.
