Why are you running for Fort Bend County treasurer?
I’ve raised my family in Fort Bend County and am deeply rooted in this community. With proven financial leadership and public service experience, I am ready to lead a responsive, transparent Treasurer’s office that truly connects with residents. I am trusted, tested and ready to serve—starting day one.
What are your qualifications for why you’d be a strong candidate in this role?
I bring over a decade as an experienced bank executive managing millions, ensuring compliance and protecting funds—experience that mirrors the county treasurer’s role. I also served eight years on Missouri City Council, overseeing budgets and contracts, and served on regional and nonprofit boards focused on accountability and economic development.
If elected, what will be your top priorities?
My top three priorities are strengthening internal controls to protect taxpayer funds, delivering community-focused stewardship that builds trust and responsibly modernizing the treasurer’s office. I bring proven financial expertise, public service experience, and next-level leadership to ensure transparency, accountability and excellence from day one.
What should the county's budgeting priorities be?
Fort Bend County’s budgeting priorities should focus on fiscal discipline, efficient operations and protecting core services. We must reduce duplication, modernize outdated practices and safeguard employees who deliver services. Tax increases should be a last resort. We must focus on demonstrating efficiency, accountability and responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars.
How do you plan to continue preparing for population growth as the county nears 1 million residents?
As Fort Bend County grows toward one million residents, I’ll proactively work with county leaders and focus on financial planning and data-driven forecasting. Through modernization, strengthening internal controls and coordinating with county departments and regional partners, we can responsibly support this inevitable growth while protecting taxpayers and maintaining core services.

Why are you running for Fort Bend County treasurer?
I have been a business owner and community volunteer for over 15 years. While running my business and serving the community, I saw the clear need for representation for underserved minorities in local government. Therefore, I decided to run and give back to this community.
What are your qualifications for why you’d be a strong candidate in this role?
With a bachelor’s degree in business, a master’s in criminal justice, private-sector experience managing multimillion-dollar funds, government experience and long record of community service, I understand how the system works. That’s what makes me the strongest candidate.
If elected, what will be your top priorities?
My top three priorities will be financial accountability, responsible growth and restoring public trust in local government. I believe that every dollar managed responsibly is a dollar that does not have to come from the working family.

The county’s budgeting priorities should be: 1. Identifying the gaps between income and expenditure. 2. Services required by law. 3. Key public services. Public health and safety, infrastructure, meeting immediate needs without losing sight of the needs for tomorrow.

As county treasurer, I will safeguard public funds and ensure taxpayer dollars don’t fall through the cracks. By managing our finances responsibly, tax increases can be minimized. And through smart investments, the county can meet the growing needs of our increasing population without placing unnecessary burdens on hardworking families.
