Why are you running for Fort Bend County district clerk?
I like the challenge of being able to use my law license in this legal management role. The district clerk’s position requires an in-depth knowledge of criminal, civil, family, tax and property law.
What are your qualifications for why you’d be a strong candidate in this role?

If elected, what will be your top priorities?
To convince Commissioners’ Court to approve an information technology director for the District Clerk’s Office to move forward our technology projects at a faster pace. Presently, all technology projects are placed on a schedule with our system-wide Information Technology Department. This system, in addition to slowing down projects, is not very productive.
What should the county's budgeting priorities be?
Even though I am the district clerk, I believe law enforcement, public safety, transportation and infrastructure should take priority.
How do you plan to continue preparing for population growth as the county nears one million residents?
I will continue to seek ways to use artificial intelligence and bots to do the work humans do at a much faster, more accurate pace.

I am running for Fort Bend County District Clerk to serve the community with integrity, efficiency and accountability. As a law graduate [and] longtime community leader, I understand the importance of accurate records, accessible services [and] public trust. I am committed to strengthening transparency [and] ensuring the office serves every resident professionally and fairly.
What are your qualifications for why you’d be a strong candidate in this role?
I am a law graduate, nonprofit CEO and small business owner with extensive experience in governance, ethics and public service. With deep roots in Fort Bend County and a record of collaborative leadership, I am committed to serving District Clerk’s Office with integrity, accountability and respect for the public’s trust.
If elected, what will be your top priorities?
If elected, my top priorities will be improving efficiency [and] accuracy in record-keeping, expanding public access through technology, strengthening transparency and accountability and ensuring courteous, timely service for residents. I will focus on modernizing operations while supporting and training staff to deliver consistent, high-quality service to the courts and public.
I am a community liaison for Harris County Juvenile Probation Department. I work closely with the community, legal community and policy analyst.

I want to improve service, accessibility, accountability and enhance.

The county’s budgeting priorities should focus on essential services, public safety and efficient court operations while being fiscally responsible. Investments should emphasize technology modernization, staff training and infrastructure that improve service delivery, transparency and long-term cost savings, ensuring taxpayer dollars are used wisely and with accountability.
How do you plan to continue preparing for population growth as the county nears one million residents?
With Fort Bend County’s rapid growth, preparation must be forward-looking and data-driven. I support investing in scalable technology, efficient processes and a well-trained workforce to meet rising demand. Thoughtful planning, modernization and coordination across departments will ensure services remain accessible, accurate and responsive as the county approaches one million residents.
How do you plan to continue preparing for population growth as the county nears one million residents?
Development and collaboration with fellow counties and a high level of involvement with District Court professional organizations, such as the Texas District Court Alliance and County and District Clerk's Association of Texas.
