Why are you running for Fort Bend County Precinct 2 commissioner?
I am running to continue providing experienced leadership during a critical period of growth. Fort Bend County needs steady, knowledgeable oversight to ensure infrastructure keeps pace with development and that county investments improve quality of life across all communities.
What are your qualifications for why you’d be a strong candidate in this role?
I am a registered professional civil engineer with deep experience in infrastructure planning, public finance and local government operations. My work includes establishing several county departments, overseeing major capital projects and aligning policy decisions with long-term growth and fiscal responsibility.
If elected, what will be your top priorities?
My priorities are getting current projects across the finish line, improving quality of life for all residents and ensuring no community goes without basic county services. This includes access to safe drinking water, effective drainage and flood control, quality healthcare services and public safety as the county continues to grow.
What should the county’s budgeting priorities be?
County budgets should focus on core services that residents rely on every day, including infrastructure, public safety, healthcare and workforce development. Spending should be disciplined, prioritize long-term value and make the most of existing resources so services are delivered effectively without placing unnecessary pressure on property taxpayers.
How do you plan to continue preparing for population growth as the county nears one million residents?
Managing growth starts with improving mobility and expanding county services ahead of demand. Investing early in roads, drainage and service capacity helps accommodate new residents, reduces long-term costs, eases budget pressure and protects the quality-of-life existing residents expect.
How do you plan to help grow economic development in the county?
Economic development is supported through tools like Tax Increment Reinvestment Zones and County Assistance Districts, paired with strong partnerships across Fort Bend’s municipalities. These collaborations help fund infrastructure, encourage redevelopment and create stable conditions that attract investment, businesses and long-term job growth.

Why are you running for Fort Bend County Precinct 2 commissioner?
I am running for County Commissioner to restore and improve quality environment in our communities and neighborhoods.
What are your qualifications for why you’d be a strong candidate in this role?
My qualifications include masters degrees in public administration and urban and regional planning. Serving as director on city of Houston boards for 20 years, health facilities board, higher education board, industrial board, former administrative assistant to the city manager of Galveston.
If elected, what will be your top priorities?
Stop the continuing encroachment of industrial warehouses in residential areas of our community. Stop concrete batch companies from integrating with our residential neighborhoods. Restore botanical beauty to the community parks of Precinct 2.
What should the county’s budgeting priorities be?
The counties budget should be concentrated on infrastructure projects, roads, bridges, water flow, water treatment and [Emergency Medical Services].
How do you plan to continue preparing for population growth as the county nears one million residents?
Infrastructure and transportation services will be my top priorities.
How do you plan to help grow economic development in the county?
Encourage the medical industry to invest in our community [including] health facilities, medical supplies, medical storage, research equipment and human resources.
