What Sugar Land voters need to know about June 7 runoff election day

Additionally, Sugar Land voters will choose between Jim Vonderhaar and Maggy Horgan as the city’s next City Council At-Large Position 1 representative. Vonderhaar and Horgan garnered 37.12% and 20.69% of votes, respectively.

Meanwhile, District 2 voters will decide between Sanjay Singhal and Nasir Hussain, who garnered 38.78% and 22.45% of votes, respectively. Where to vote

Residents can cast their votes at one of 17 election day voting locations countywide, which are open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. June 7, according to Fort Bend County’s website.

Voters should bring at least one of seven forms of appropriate identification options to the polls, including a Texas drivers license, personal ID card, handgun license, military ID card or U.S. passport, according to the Texas Secretary of State’s website.

Sugar Land saw 7,405 voters cast their ballots in-person during early voting May 27 to June 3, according to early voting statistics from Fort Bend County.

Following the May 3 election, Robert Boettcher was sworn in as the City Council At-Large Position 2 representative on May 13, while Rick Miller began his term as City Council representative for District 4.
