Unofficial results for the Nov. 5 election show Missouri City voters supported 14 amendments to the city’s charter, according to data from Harris and Fort Bend counties.
What you need to know
The charter governs city operations, and the amendments were posted in a “yes” or “no” question format on the ballot. The amendments proposed some City Council-related changes, including to compensation, member appointments and council meeting requirements, city officials said.
Ballots containing Missouri City's charter amendment were reported separately and later on Election Day due to an earlier ballot error, County Election Administrator John Oldham said. Some Missouri City voters in Precinct 2097—located in the Sienna area—received two ballots so they could weigh in on Missouri City races, Community Impact reported.
