Incumbents Ron Reynolds, D-Missouri City, and Gary Gates, R-Richmond, have won their races for Texas House of Representatives districts 27 and 28, respectively, according to unofficial final voting data provided by Fort Bend County.

Reynolds won the race for Texas House District 27 with 40,556 votes, or 70.25%. Meanwhile, Republican challenger Sohrab Gilani received 17,179 votes, or 29.75%.

In the race for Texas House District 28, Gates received 40,177 votes, or 61.61%, while Nelvin Adriatico received 25,039 votes, or 38.39%.

Results reflect 82 of 82 Fort Bend County Election Day polling locations.

In the races for Texas House of Representatives districts 27 and 28, incumbents Ron Reynolds, D-Missouri City, and Gary Gates, R-Richmond, maintain leads.

Reynolds leads the race for District 27 with 34,638 votes, or 69.92%, while Gate leads the race for District 28 with 35,133 votes, or 61.31%.

Incumbent state Rep. Ron Reynolds, D-Missouri City, leads in the race for Texas House of Representatives District 27, while incumbent state Rep. Gary Gates, R-Richmond, is ahead in the race for Texas House of Representatives District 28, according to early-voting data provided by Fort Bend County.

In the race for District 27, Reynolds leads Sohrab Gilani with 30,186 votes, or 70.16%. Gilani has 12,836 votes, or 29.84%.

Meanwhile, for District 28, Gates took an early lead with 30,195 votes, at 62.02%. Nelvin Adriatico trails with 18,491 votes, or 37.98%.


Reynolds was sworn in as state representative Jan. 10, 2011, and is serving his sixth term in the Texas House. Gates, meanwhile, has served on the Texas House since 2020.
