Ron Reynolds, the incumbent for Texas House of Representatives District 27, has won the Democratic primary election, according to unofficial voting results from Fort Bend County.

Reynolds won the race with 83.47% of the vote, according to Fort Bend County election results. As of 9 a.m., all Fort Bend County polling locations are reporting.

"I'm very grateful to win with 83% of the vote," Reynolds said in an interview with Community Impact Newspaper. "It was refreshing to see, and I'm thankful to my constituents who voted and turned out."


Reynolds received 12,549 votes, with 2,486, or 16.53%, of the votes supporting Rodrigo Carreon. The candidate running in the Republican primary, Sohrab Silani, ran unopposed.

The district includes approximately 160,000 voters across Fort Bend County including the cities of Missouri City, Stafford and Sugar Land. Results are unofficial until they are canvassed and certified by the county clerk.
