Incumbent KP George has won the Democratic primary election for Fort Bend County judge, according to unofficial results from Fort Bend County.

George won the race with 69.52% of the vote, according to unofficial results provided by Fort Bend County. George received 25,352 votes, while 11,115, or 30.48%, of the votes went to opponent Ferrel Bonner. Additionally, the Fort Bend County Elections Office reported George also won more than 90% of the voting precincts in Fort Bend County during early voting.

"Fort Bend County voters overwhelmingly voted to select me and the most diverse slate of candidates in Fort Bend history," George said in a statement. "Together, we will stand united and represent every person that lives in our beautiful community. We will continue to move Fort Bend forward by making our county more effective, engaging, and efficient for ALL."


George has served as the county's judge since his initial election Jan. 1, 2019, and he is the first Fort Bend County judge of color and of Asian descent, according to the judge's news release.

The county judge presides over the Fort Bend Commissioners Court and serves as the judge of the county court while also heading the county. Results were updated as of 9:17 a.m. and are unofficial until they are canvassed and certified by the county clerk.

George leads with 69.69% of the vote, according to unofficial results provided by Fort Bend County. George has received 22,431 votes, while 9,758, or 30.31%, of the votes support opponent Ferrel Bonner.

In the Democratic primary election for Fort Bend County judge, incumbent KP George has the early lead with 69.87% of the vote, according to early voting data provided by Fort Bend County. As of 7:58 p.m. Fort Bend County is reporting early and absentee vote totals. Zero of 76 Fort Bend County polling locations are reporting in.


Incumbent KP George has received 16,440 votes, while 7,088, or 30.13%, of the votes support opponent Ferrel Bonner.
