Fort Bend ISD Child Nutrition Department staff will serve free breakfast and lunch for children, aged 18 or younger, and adults with disabilities up to 21 years old throughout the summer.

What you need to know

FBISD campuses will offer the summer meals at 11 locations from early June to late July, according to the district’s website.

The meals—which must be eaten inside the school’s cafeteria—are available to all children of 18 and under who live within FBISD boundaries, regardless of enrollment, district officials confirmed.

While no students will be denied a meal due to lack of identification cards, officials said it may help expedite service and verify enrollment for students participating in specialized education programs. Parents cannot purchase meals, a district representative confirmed.

Something to note

Students can also find participating meal sites statewide by:

Several Katy and Lamar Consolidated ISD campuses will also offer summer meals.

Looking forward

Fort Bend ISD campuses will also host academic and intervention programs for K-12 students, including enrichment, remediation and credit recovery, with additional support for special education and emergent bilingual students, according to the website.
