Fort Bend ISD's Fort Settlement Middle School will reopen Sept. 17 for normal operations.
Power has been restored at the school following an outage caused by Hurricane Nicholas, according to the district.

While power has been restored to six of the seven Fort Bend ISD schools that were closed Sept. 15 due to power outages caused by Hurricane Nicholas, Fort Settlement Middle School remains without power and is closed Sept. 16, according to the district.
Baines Middle School, First Colony Middle School, Hodges Bend Middle School, Schiff Elementary School and Settlers Way Elementary School returned to normal school operations Sept. 16.
Furthermore, Sullivan Elementary School reopened with a delayed 10:10 a.m. start time as building systems had to be reset, the district said in a release. Morning bus routes to the school were also delayed by two hours.
FBISD will continue to update the community about school operations for Sept. 17.
