With just a couple weeks remaining before the start of the 2021-22 school year, Fort Bend ISD students and families are counting down the final days of summer.

Fort Bend ISD students return to school Aug. 11. However, teachers will be back in the classroom for professional learning Aug. 5.

Other key dates to know for the fall 2021 semester include holidays Sept. 6 for Labor Day, Oct. 11 and Thanksgiving break Nov. 22-26. Additionally, Sept. 24 and Oct. 7-8 are professional learning days without students.

Heading into the winter break, middle and high school students will have a half day Dec. 16, and all students will have a half day Dec. 17. Winter break will run from Dec. 20-31. Following professional development days Jan. 3 and 4, students will return for the spring semester Jan. 5.

The last day of school in FBISD is May 26. The FBISD board of trustees approved the 2021-22 calendar in February.
