Fort Bend ISD will hold public meetings from 7-9 p.m. at Travis High School on Nov. 29 and Ridge Point High School on Nov. 30 to discuss attendance boundary changes for new district schools.
FBISD said in a news release Thursday that it anticipates 19 schools will be affected by the changes once elementary schools Nos. 48, 49, 50, 51 and middle school No. 15 come online over the next two years.
The Nov. 29 meeting at Travis High School, located at 11111 Harlem Road, Richmond will discuss changes for ES Nos. 49-50. The Nov. 30 meeting at Ridge Point High School, 500 Waters Lake Blvd., Missouri City will discuss boundary changes for ES No. 48 and MS No. 15.
The meetings will also include information on increased student capacity at existing FBISD schools due to classroom additions. Schools expected to be affected by the attendance boundary changes and classroom additions are:
ES No. 48 and MS No. 15 are being constructed in Sienna Plantation, ES No. 49 is being built in Harvest Green and ES No. 50 is being constructed in Grand Vista. ES No. 51 is still in the planning stages.
ES No. 48, 49 and 50 are scheduled to open for the 2017-18 school year and MS No. 15 is due to open the following school year, according to FBISD.
