Meet the new editor for Sugar Land and Missouri City

Regular readers of this paper may notice a change on this page. This is my first issue as editor for Community Impact Newspaper’s Sugar Land/Missouri City edition.

I graduated from The University of Texas at San Antonio in 2015 and have experience as a reporter for Community Impact Newspaper’s The Woodlands edition.

As a Houston area native, I am no stranger to Sugar Land and Missouri City. However, my first month as editor has opened my eyes to the unique community news in the area.

One of our cover stories this month addresses a potential update to Sugar Land’s Land Use Plan, and our second cover story looks at holiday shopping and city sales tax in a post-Hurricane Harvey, online consumer-driven economy.

As editor, I am excited to learn more about the area, and I look forward to keeping residents informed. Please feel free to reach out to me anytime with any questions, concerns or just to say, “Hello.”
