First announced by Community Impact in January, McAlister's Deli has set an opening date for its new Missouri City restaurant.

What we know

The sandwich shop will open at the Fort Bend Town Center II development on April 1, a representative said via email.

To celebrate the grand opening, the first 100 guests in line on opening day will receive free tea for a year.

Plus, the restaurant invites first responders, medical professionals, active military personnel, veterans, teachers and truck drivers to enjoy a complimentary meal on Friday, March 29 from noon-2 p.m., according to a March 25 news release.

Franchisee Jason Middleton said in the release that he and staff look forward to the opening to connect with the local community.

“We're so excited to bring the hospitality and great food of McAlister's to Missouri City,” Middleton said.
