Uberrito, a Houston-based Tex-Mex chain, is expanding to Sugar Land and Cypress by the summer, marking the fourth and fifth chain locations for the restaurant.

The chain, which began its life as Mission Burrito in 1995, rebranded to Uberrito in 2014 and has since grown to three Houston-area locations and two franchise locations in Huntsville and Columbia, South Carolina.

Uberrito offers customers a choice of more than 20 combinations, including various proteins, tortillas, rice varieties and toppings. According to Cheryl Ahlbrandt, a marketing consultant representing Uberrito, the restaurant prides itself on offering more choices than its competition.

Uberrito's values are to be welcoming, neighborly, committed, straight talk and always in search of the perfect burrito, Ahlbrandt said.

The Sugar Land location at 2735 Town Center Blvd. is set to open by late summer, while the Cypress-area location at 13132 FM 1960 West is set to open in early summer. The restaurant’s other locations are in Durham, Atascocita and Houston.

Additional restaurants are planned for Texas City, McKinney, Katy and a to-be-determined South Houston location.
