The projects will bring a variety of new and enhanced elements across the area including Fort Bend County’s first all-abilities park. This list is not comprehensive.
Galaxy All Abilities Park
Project: The first county-funded all abilities park will offer space-themed elements including sensory walls, interactive play equipment and tactile elements.
- Timeline: May 2025-February 2026
- Cost: $1.27 million
- Funding source: Fort Bend County parks bond
- 1515 Stadium Drive, Sugar Land
Project: The park’s third phase will bring a Learn, Explore, and Play, or L.E.A.P., area that could feature a public pavilion, wetlands, boardwalks and a tree house.
Update: Design for the project is 60% complete.
- Timeline: March 2025-spring 2026 (design); TBD (construction)
- Cost: $2.5-$3.1 million (construction)
- Funding source: Cullinan Park Conservancy fundraising
- 12414 Hwy 6, Sugar Land
Project: The project includes an open lawn, public art, a playground, picnic pavilions, restrooms, walking paths, parking and a trail connection to Community Park.
Update: Construction is approximately 75% complete.

- Cost: $4.5 million
- Funding sources: Missouri City 2021 bond and Texas Parks & Wildlife Department Local Parks Grant
- 4219 Freedom Tree Drive, Missouri City
Project: The project includes the construction of multi-purpose sports fields and courts, a multi-wheeled pump track, shade areas, multi-purpose trails, a playground and the installation of native landscaping.
Update: The project is 25% through the design phase.
- Timeline: Construction expected to begin this summer.
- Cost: $14 million
- Funding sources: Missouri City 2021 bond, Fort Bend County parks bond and Texas Parks & Wildlife Department Local Parks Grant
- 1917 Moore Road, Missouri City
Project: The project adds a new playground, picnic tables, improves lighting and landscaping, and construction of a sidewalk along Woodvale Drive.
Update: Playground, lighting and shade are complete with fencing and landscaping set to finish in spring 2026.
